The 21 names (Bellom, Legal, Thoraval, Maissin, Roche, Borallo, Briant, Sarette, Amouretti, Hugoneng, Andrieu, Prevot, Boyer, Bourgarel, Cotrel, Gouffe, Chevrier, Guilleaud, Mathis, Minier, Barbedor) are engraved in black characters on the memorial in the island of Goree, near Dakar.
